Rose M. Handon, PhD., (is affectionately referred by many as Dr. Rose, or Ms. Rose) is a native of Columbus, OH. She is a licensed social worker and retired human services administrator from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Her public service career spans over 40 years where she worked in direct and indirect services on behalf of children and families, served as a local and state administrator overseeing child welfare programs and policy, and adult protective services for vulnerable populations. She currently serves as the Director of Consumer Advocacy for a state agency.

For over 25 years, Dr. Rose served as a field instructor and adjunct faculty member for several universities. She has taught at the Ohio State University – College of Social Work. In addition, she has taught undergraduate and graduate students from an array of courses, i.e., research, policy, management, ethics and diversity; organizational behavior and leadership as an online adjunct faculty with Northern AZ University, (Flagstaff, AZ); Post University (Waterbury, CT); and Indiana Wesleyan University where she provided both on campus and online instruction.
